I do recognize all but one of these butterflies as we have them here in Ohio most years but this summer was devoid of butterflies. Among those you photographed is one nice Buckeye butterfly—which is the nickname of people who live here in Ohio—Buckeyes. We also have a tree by the same name and the fruit of the tree looks like the larger "eyes" on the butterfly.
